About Emma Lou's Baby Bassets
Our Mission
Emma Lou's Baby Bassets is located on the state-line between Poteau, Oklahoma, and Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Our mission is to provide high-quality European & Brazilian Bloodline AKC registered Basset Hound puppies.
Health, temperament and conformity are what we have in mind when we select our Sires and Dams for breeding and raise our pups.
Our Basset Sires and Dams are AKC registered and have been carefully chosen from Brazilian and European Champion Bloodlines from reputable breeders. We spend a lot of time researching the lines we breed together, to produce baby bassets with beautiful long ears, droopy-sagging faces, and lots of wrinkles giving them the “Squishy Puppy” basset look that everyone admires!
Our dogs are born and raised in a warm and loving environment. They become accustomed to the noises of a busy home, are well socialized, and spoiled.
Breeding healthy-happy puppies is our number one goal, all of our dogs are genetically tested by Paw Prints and OFA and are vet checked before breeding. We offer a health guarantee on our puppies as well.

Our Story
My wife and I began dating in high school in 1995, we were married in 2000 and have been doing life together ever since.
We have 8 kids and have always been a dog loving family. My wife grew up with a Basset Hound and our kids have grown up with Pyrenees and Chihuahuas.
Our kids have always enjoyed outdoor activities, pets, and sports. They are getting older now and some have moved on to college. So with more free time on our hands, we decided to pursue our dream of breeding Basset Hounds with our youngest baby girl Emma Lou, at our home in the country on 8 acres.
